Adipex vs Meridia

AdipexAdipex MeridiaMeridia
Phentermine is used along with a doctor-approved, reduced-calorie diet, exercise, and behavior change program to help you lose weight. It is used in people who are significantly overweight (obese) and have not been able to lose enough weight with diet and exercise alone. Losing weight and keeping it off can reduce the many health risks that come with obesity, including heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and a shorter life. It is not known how this medication helps people to lose weight. It may work by decreasing your appetite, increasing the amount of energy used by your body, or by affecting certain parts of the brain. This medication is an appetite suppressant and belongs to a class of drugs called sympathomimetic amines.Consult your pharmacist.

I'm 5'5 a female and weighted a little over 200 pounds the first of November 2013. I started adipex on November 4th and today I have lost 25 pounds in just a month! I have not had any side effects, it's amazing!! Gives me a lot of energy but I still sleep at night :)

I started taking it 3 1/2 weeks ago and so far I like the results I'm getting. I only have taken 1/2 pill a day so far and walking on a treadmill everyday along with watching my food intake. I had some headaches at the beginning but since then the only thing is dry mouth otherwise I'm pleased.

I lost 32 lbs. in the 6 months I was on Meridia. The only side effect I had was dry mouth, and that encouraged me to drink more water. I am so upset that they pulled this off the US/CA markets. My dr. had me do an echo. of my heart before starting this medication as well as weekly blood pressure checks at first and then monthly.

I was taking Meridia for 2 months, lost 12 pds. Was happy with weight loss, no problems only to find out they are recalling it. Does anyone know another prescrption that can be taken in place of Meridia? I go to the dr in January, I just hope I don't gain the weight back !!
