Aleve vs Midol

Naproxen is used to relieve pain from various conditions such as headaches, muscle aches, tendonitis, dental pain, and menstrual cramps. It also reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness caused by arthritis, bursitis, and gout attacks. This medication is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking your body's production of certain natural substances that cause inflammation. If you are treating a chronic condition such as arthritis, ask your doctor about non-drug treatments and/or using other medications to treat your pain. I have back and hip pain. Take 440 MG 2 x a day and I don't have to take Hydrocodone which seems to cause severe constipation. Aleve relieves pain to the point I can avoid opiates.

I took Aleve for knee inflammation. It did nothing for the pain but had to take it with food and worst of all it caused severe insomnia followed by crushing depression.

Had very sore heel. Aleve helped somewhat in that I can walk without so much pain, but affected my stomach immediately causing bloating, stomach discomfort and constipation.

I honestly would get physically ill and so shaky I felt like I would pass out with my periods every month always at noon and it would take throwing up to make it stop. I took Midol for the first time a month ago just one tablet the pain the sweating the nausea it all stopped. I do have one semi negative thing and that is it makes me drowsy this is non pm and I do not think people should drive after taking two of these.

My period is EXTREMELY painful and cramps are not the easiest things to handle during school. All I have to do is take 2 of the extra strength pills and my cramps are nonexistent for the entire day.
