| Doxazosin is used alone or with other drugs to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. | Add Cardura review Terrible medication for me-increased blood pressure, shortness of breath, dry mouth, headache-several more. Not good. I have so many side effects from BP meds. This seemed almost a last resort. I have taken it for about six weeks and had to get off it. I became extremely tired and lethargic. At times felt slightly unbalanced. My mouth was extremely dry and was swelling to the point that it was hard to talk. When I contacted the doctor he said to stop it immediately.
