I have DDD and severe shoulder/collar bone pain set on by a past car accident. I had been on Celebrex once before and it didn't do anything for me positive or negative. I have advanced chondromalacia in my knees and severe degeneration L5-S1. I think for mild degenerative pain, Celebrex probably would be helpful, but for my moderate pain it is of no benefit. Doc wants me to continue to take it for its anti inflammatory properties. Costly. I also take Tramadol, as needed for pain management. Personally, i think Celebrex is an overrated medication!

I have a variety of back issues, arthritis, etc and nothing has worked like Vioxx. I wish something was as effective but now I take Vicodin for the pain, which I really hate to do.

When I was on vioxx,Oral, I had no problems. It eased my pain (lower back disc) and I was very upset that it went off the market. Since then, I have been given less than adaquate drugs for my back. I wish they would do more studies with more people than just a few complainers before stripping medicine that works for most than just the few. I say do another study and stop cry babies that just want to make a buck.
