Consult your pharmacist. This combination medication is used to temporarily treat symptoms caused by the common cold, flu, allergies, or other breathing illnesses (such as sinusitis, bronchitis). Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that affects a certain part of the brain, reducing the urge to cough. Decongestants help relieve stuffy nose and ear congestion symptoms. Acetaminophen (APAP) is a non-aspirin pain reliever and fever reducer. Antihistamines help relieve watery eyes, itchy eyes/nose/throat, runny nose, and sneezing. I love Nyquil! This is my go to drug everytime I get a cold but it's important you remember Nyquil is for night time, DAYquil is for during the day also you need to take it an hour before bed and only if you have 8 hours to sleep and you will sleep so good and feel better when you wake up. It tastes horrible like really really bad so hold your nose and have something to chase it with if you gag easily but other than that it's great and really works.
