Dicyclomine is used to treat a certain type of intestinal problem called irritable bowel syndrome. It helps to reduce the symptoms of stomach and intestinal cramping. Dicyclomine works by slowing the natural movements of the gut and by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and intestines. Dicyclomine belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics/antispasmodics.Hyoscyamine is used to treat a variety of stomach/intestinal problems such as cramps and irritable bowel syndrome. It is also used to treat other conditions such as bladder and bowel control problems, cramping pain caused by kidney stones and gallstones, and Parkinson's disease. In addition, it is used to decrease side effects of certain medications (drugs used to treat myasthenia gravis) and insecticides. This medication works by decreasing acid production in the stomach, slowing down the natural movements of the gut, and relaxing muscles in many organs (e.g., stomach, intestines, bladder, kidney, gallbladder). Hyoscyamine also lessens the amount of certain body fluids (e.g., saliva, sweat). This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics/antispasmodics.

i have IBS/D. ican't go out side or tavel without afraid i wll have to go to go to the restroom.. as mater of fact i just went to the grocrey and had to go and what a mess i had it all over my clothes in my shoes and in my socks.

This medication has been working for me for years. I don't take it everyday. I only take it when having flair ups which will happen usually several times a month.

it works for me!!!!! I take .375 mg twice a day. is there any time limit on how long this can be taken without doing any damage

THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS A VERY DRY MOUTH AND "FURRY" TONGUE IN THE MORNINGS. HARD TO QUINCH THRIST BECAUSE OF DRY MOUTH. HAS CONTROLLED MY IBS(D) SYMPTOMS. STOMACH AND GUT HAS NEVER FELT BETTER.
