| Consult your pharmacist | Hyoscyamine is used to treat a variety of stomach/intestinal problems such as cramps and irritable bowel syndrome. It is also used to treat other conditions such as bladder and bowel control problems, cramping pain caused by kidney stones and gallstones, and Parkinson's disease. In addition, it is used to decrease side effects of certain medications (drugs used to treat myasthenia gravis) and insecticides. This medication works by decreasing acid production in the stomach, slowing down the natural movements of the gut, and relaxing muscles in many organs (e.g., stomach, intestines, bladder, kidney, gallbladder). Hyoscyamine also lessens the amount of certain body fluids (e.g., saliva, sweat). This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics/antispasmodics. | |||

| Add Donnatal review I have been diagnosed with ibs and also spastic colon..when put on generic donnatal, it worked ok.. But last year i was placed on donnatal extentabs.. No problems at all! And now.. The manufacturer or drug co.. Isnt making..or either its on back order? Why is it, when you finally find a medicine that works.. You cant get it anymore! It isnt fair! I am allowed to take this three times a day as needed. I only take it a few days a month, but it is becoming more difficult for my pharmacist to acquire. I suppose the pharmacies don't want to sell something that is both cheap and effective! | Add Levsin review had bad,bad stomach ache,Dr.prescribed this and after 2 nights of awful nightmares and sleepless 2 nights I give up. Does not relieve the severe cramping from IBS-C quick enough. Usually have to pair this with 2 to 4 mgs Xanax and at least 2 Tylenol when I have the IBS attacks. | |||
