Fenofibrate vs Triglide

FenofibrateFenofibrate TriglideTriglide
Fenofibrate is used along with a proper diet to help lower "bad" cholesterol and fats (such as LDL, triglycerides) and raise "good" cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. It belongs to a group of drugs known as "fibrates." It works by increasing the natural substance (enzyme) that breaks down fats in the blood. Lowering triglycerides in people with very high triglyceride blood levels may decrease the risk of pancreas disease (pancreatitis). However, fenofibrate might not lower your risk of a heart attack or stroke. Talk to your doctor about the risk and benefits of fenofibrate.Fenofibrate is used along with a proper diet to help lower "bad" cholesterol and fats (such as LDL, triglycerides) and raise "good" cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. In addition to eating a proper diet (such as a low-cholesterol/low-fat diet), other lifestyle changes that may help this medication work better include exercising, drinking less alcohol, losing weight if overweight, and stopping smoking.

The medication worked okay, lowered total count somewhat. My issue is with the tablet; it breaks apart too easily. First noticed on a business trip, packed for a week, carry-on baggage versus checked. When I arrived I found that all the Triglide had become powder; other medications/vitamins unaffected. This has happened on several occasions. Switched to generic, numbers unchanged but the generic pills remain intact.
