Finasteride vs Spironolactone

FinasterideFinasteride SpironolactoneSpironolactone
Finasteride is used to shrink an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH) in adult men. It may be used alone or taken in combination with other medications to reduce symptoms of BPH and may also reduce the need for surgery. Finasteride may improve symptoms of BPH and provide benefits such as decreased urge to urinate, better urine flow with less straining, less of a feeling that the bladder is not completely emptied, and decreased nighttime urination. This medication works by decreasing the amount of a natural body hormone (DHT) that causes growth of the prostate. Finasteride is not approved for prevention of prostate cancer. It may slightly increase the risk of developing a very serious form of prostate cancer. Talk to your doctor about the benefits and risks. Women and children should not use this medication.Spironolactone is used to treat high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. It is also used to treat swelling (edema) caused by certain conditions (e.g., congestive heart failure) by removing excess fluid and improving symptoms such as breathing problems.

this medicane caused serious tenderness in both of my nipples. I spoke to the doctor and he said it was the finasteride I was taking. I spoke to the UROLOGIST who prescribed it and he seemed alright with it but I am going to complain about it when I return to see him.

Nothing was instant though, it takes time. It may cause a little fatigue, but nothing that can't be helped with a l ...

Used for acne. First time, only taking 25mg-50mg. Had initial break-out, experienced less oil, but still had some bumps, so I stopped. Trying again, started with 150mg a day..after 3 weeks this is what I can tell you: No initial break-out, no oil, only 3 new, smaller pimples, scarring almost completely faded. So so happy with results. Taking 6 to 8 pills a day. No more jaw-line and cheek, ho ...
