Strange Smells | 06.08.13
Stuffiness definitely decreased within 2 weeks of use, however not completely. After about 4 months of use I started smelling fumes/smoke - not all the time, but several times a day. At first, I really thought it was smoke, but after about a week I figured it out - something was wrong. I continued to smell fumes/smoke for about 3 1/2 weeks. Then, I started to smell bacon and have now smelled bacon on and off all day for about 3 weeks. I finally got into see an ENT yesterday and was advised to STOP Fluticasone immediately and saline spray as well. The ENT indicated that fluticasone has alcohol and cause extreme drying and combined with the saline wash uber extreme drying to the sinuses - he sighted ( sorry it's gross) scabs inside my nose up high near the sinus cavity ( which I can't see or feel), which indicate dryness. I will have a CT scan this week, to determine the true extent of what is going on. I have stopped fluticasone and saline spray.

This seems to have a very strong stimulant effect. I take it in the morning, but I am wide awake and reading books at 1am. This started about a week after I started Flonase to help with an inflamed ear (won't drain). My concern is not sleeping is not healthy.

Went for annual eye exam. I was told that I had borderline glaucoma in left eye. I have never been told this, but noticed that it was a possible side effect of this medication. I don't know how common this is but I'll probably stop using it until my next eye check in August and see what happens.
