I was given a prescription for prochlorperazine to control nausea and vomiting in conjunction with migraine headaches. The medication was effective very quickly, although I did experience some side effects, among them including dizziness, vertigo, slurred speech, and lethargy. It did treat my nausea very well, but the only time I'm able to use it is when I'm planning to be at home, since driving is impossible feeling the way it makes me feel.

My daughter had a very serious reaction to this medicine. She had seizure like fainting, he tongue would start by getting hot felling. She would then loose control of her mouth muscles, then it would go down to her neck and back. She would then pass out with her eyes rolling behind her head. It is very painful and scarry for her and anyone around her. She hasnt had the med for four days now, and she is still have these side effects. The doctors dont even know how long they will last. I would watch anybody on this med very close.

I have taken Zofran with all 3 of my pregnancies. I am currently 11 weeks pregnant with baby #3 and was diagnosed last week with full-blown Hyperemesis. I am on a higher dosage this time (8mg 3-4 times a day, rather than 4mg), and I am taking the orally dissolving tablets rather than the kind you swallow. It is working well so far, but I am also having headaches as a side effect, and constipation. ...
