Finasteride is used to shrink an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH) in adult men. It may be used alone or taken in combination with other medications to reduce symptoms of BPH and may also reduce the need for surgery. Finasteride may improve symptoms of BPH and provide benefits such as decreased urge to urinate, better urine flow with less straining, less of a feeling that the bladder is not completely emptied, and decreased nighttime urination. This medication works by decreasing the amount of a natural body hormone (DHT) that causes growth of the prostate. Finasteride is not approved for prevention of prostate cancer. It may slightly increase the risk of developing a very serious form of prostate cancer. Talk to your doctor about the benefits and risks. Women and children should not use this medication.Minoxidil solution and foam are used to help hair growth in the treatment of male pattern baldness. It is not used for baldness at the front of the scalp or receding hairline in men. The 2 percent minoxidil solution is also used to help hair growth in women with thinning hair. Minoxidil belongs to a class of drugs known as vasodilators. It is not known how minoxidil causes hair growth. This medication is not used for sudden/patchy hair loss, unexplained hair loss (e.g., no family history of hair loss), or hair loss after giving birth. Do not use this product if you are 18 years old or younger.

I'm a 35yo healthy athletic Asian male, I've had NO side effects. I've been on it for 3.5 years, it seemed take about 6 months to notice any difference. I don't think I've gained much new hair, but its certainly stopped the losses. Generic is now available for about $180/100pills through Costco. I've witnessed absolutely NO LOSS of sexual appetite or libido. I'm still fired up! My theory is that some married men might use the "loss of sexual interest" potential side effect as an excuse not to have sex with their wives, most of whom have long since lost their attractiveness(ie. got fat, cut their hair too short, stopped using make up, stopped wearing lingerie) since the wedding day. Most middle aged couples stop caring what they look like, hence lack of sexual energy. Sorry, I know the truth hurts.

I have taken propecia for over 10 years. I then found out propecia is finestaride. So I started saving money by buying finestaride instead. Anyway, they work great for the hair, but after noticing my ED and other sexual related issues,I started to look into my medications, and there it was "POW" All of my sexual side effects are directly related to "PROPECIA". Please ,if you are taking this medication,"STOP" It has long term and possibly life consequences that will destroy your sex life.

Did little to nothing for me, in fact I noticed more hair on the bathroom floor than before I started using it. May work for some but not for me.

On day three of use, my scalp started burning! It was the Labor Day Weekend. I now have scalbs on my scalp. The burning is not as bad, but itching is now the problem. I am waiting for my dermatologist's office to open! I tried to call the 1-800 number but they were having "technical difficulties". I suggest you use a small patch test to see if this product is safe for you. GOOD LUCK!
