| Add Risperdal review After having a nervous breakdown, I talked to my doctor about options in dealing with anxiety and depression. My doctor prescribed this medication back in 2008. Since then, my entire outlook and personality has changed. My thought process is much clearer, I don't feel nervous or anxious as much, and the medication has made me able to deal a high level of stress. Paranoia/hallucinations. Quit cold turkey and still have no feelings, emotions, or empathy but am calm but really delayed thinking and responses and had to give up on Bachelor's degree. It raises your triglyceride levels and causes weight gain. No one told me that I could experience dramatic weight gain taking this med. It wasn't on the paperwork that I was given when I got it. We're talking 100lbs here. Now I can't seem to lose the weight. helped me feel better, but weight gain++ and have developed type 2 diabeties. For me, this med was a disaster. It was prescribed for me initially by a pill pushing shrink who made a snap judgement that I was bipolar II after my wife filed for divorce and I asked for help. I had been on and off anti-depressants for years, usually after failed relationships.
