I was prescribed this medicine about 40 years ago. I had started having severe bouts of restless leg syndrom after my 2nd child was born. They were eespecially bad when flying or 8 hour+ car trips. It always worked very well. I tore my rotator cuffs about 15 years ago. One was repaired but lasted only 3 years. I was getting steroid shots in my shoulders for almost all that time. Then recentl ...

I first used this drug for back spasms. I also drank some whiskey. 20 minutes later, my entire body itched like I had poison ivy. My hands and feet were particularly affected. I wanted to go to urgent care, but I wouldn't have been able to drive. I filled the bathtub with near-scalding water and got in. This allowed me to endure the incredible itching until it subsided in about an hour. I h ...

I have 3 degenerative discs and at least one herniated disc (been years since last MRI). I know they have got a lot worst since then because I walk bent over & have severe shooting pains in my legs. Soma is the only thing that works when my muscles seem to bunch up in a knot. A very painful thing. My medicare company wants me off them because all of a sudden I turned 65. If I was to be on the steps or somewhere like that & have a bad spasm, that would be the end of me. I had rather have my soma than a broken hip or worse. I wish they would change their policy. It does not matter than I aged 1 year, my condition sure does not get better with age. Somas never have made me zombie-like or unable to drive or concentrate. this decision to take them away was not really based on who really needs them. Live with my spine one day and they would sure change their policy. I would rather pay full price for them than be somewhere and have a spasm. Maybe us "old & useless baby boomers" should get together and protest. I guess there is still a lot of "old hippie" in me. "Abbie was right!"

I have been on extremely strong muscle relaxers for the last 15 yrs or so and this is the ONLY one that has even come close to helping me. I take the generic form and sometimes it does make me feel tired but that is a small price to pay in my opinion for relief. No, it does not take away all my pain but then nothing does. If I did not take Soma, along with other other meds that are prescribed for ...

This is the ONLY muscle relaxer that is worth a damn, unless you want to take something that makes you lay flat on your back like flexeril and gives you cotton mouth like you drank too much. skelaxin - can you say USELESS and expensive on top of that.I always find it humorous that the doctors who won't prescribe soma because it is "addictive".it is "addictive" becau ...
