Diclofenac is used to relieve pain and swelling (inflammation) from various mild to moderate painful conditions. It is used to treat muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, and sports injuries. It also reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness caused by arthritis. Reducing these symptoms helps you do more of your normal daily activities. This medication is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). If you are treating a chronic condition such as arthritis, ask your doctor about non-drug treatments and/or using other medications to treat your pain. I have a very bad toothache and I was prescribed to take the cataflam 50mg with ibuprofen. However, it has been an hr and my pain has not completely stop. I thought that if I took both, I would get instant relief but that hasn't occurred yet. I decided to do the alcohol swab treatment on the area where the tooth is aching until I can get in to see my dentist to have my root canal.

It seems to have done nothing what so ever for the pain nor anything else.

I have taken this for about a year for a severe knee problem and it works really well. You also don't get the drowsiness from some narcotic drugs.

This drug does NOTHING to mitigate pain. Might as well take tylenol.
