Diclofenac is used to relieve pain and swelling (inflammation) from various mild to moderate painful conditions. It is used to treat muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, and sports injuries. It also reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness caused by arthritis. Reducing these symptoms helps you do more of your normal daily activities. This medication is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). If you are treating a chronic condition such as arthritis, ask your doctor about non-drug treatments and/or using other medications to treat your pain. I have a very bad toothache and I was prescribed to take the cataflam 50mg with ibuprofen. However, it has been an hr and my pain has not completely stop. I thought that if I took both, I would get instant relief but that hasn't occurred yet. I decided to do the alcohol swab treatment on the area where the tooth is aching until I can get in to see my dentist to have my root canal.

My Father took this drug for Arthritis several years ago. It helped with the pain, but along with that gave him Hepatitis C. Once you have Hep C, you are highly likely of getting liver cancer. He died of liver cancer in June of 2010. No drug is worth a life. Do not take this drug.

Voltaran worked great for a month but then I started having a weird itchy rash randomly and mostly on my legs. Looks like red spots with no pattern. I stopped it right away. Has anyone else gotten a rash from this drug?
