After two doses of this medication my daughter whom is 6 had uncontrolable diareehea, felt like she was going to throw up and doubled over with severe crapping stomach pains. It was awful, she never had this reaction to any other meds perscribed, unfortently she couldn't even make it to the restroom, and this all happeend at school! If you are trying this drug for the first time I suggest you don't do it when they have to go to school in case an accident happens, its very embarrassing to have happened at school. We won't be using this drug ever again. I've never seen my daughter in so much pain.

My son has been prescribed this multiple times for a variety of infections by the local spaced out doctors who don't listen to us. We've tried giving it to him a few times in the past two years, just to see. The first time refused to drink this (mixed in a variety of drinks - and I'm a master medicine drink mixer). The two times I managed to get it down him he started projectile vomiting. I don't know if the flavor or the antibiotic itself makes him puke. I'd think the flavor, but so far most antibiotics make my son puke. The flavor though... Jesus Christ on a pogo stick. The doctor said it had a fruity taste. I thought my son was being dramatic when he said it was gross - but then I tasted it. This medicine tastes like a dead cat's butthole covered in rotting fruit and run through a blender. I've never tasted anything so nasty in my life. I couldn't get it down, and in college I could drink cheap whiskey straight from the bottle through a straw without blinking. This stuff is awful. AWFUL. If doctors want to give you this, see if Cefprozil is similar enough for what you need that they'll describe that. Every time the doctor's office prescribes this stuff and we have to call back that's what they prescribe. So far we've had no bad side effects to that one.

I was put of Ceftin due to an "upper respiratory infection." (Strep culture was negative.) I stopped medication after seven days because I was constantly nauseous despite taking it with food, and sore throat, coughing and headaches did not subside after being on meds for a week. (I figured why continue to suffers on Ceftin? My ailment must be viral...) I lost my voice four days later.... so I resumed use of Ceftin and developed hives within 24 hours.

I dont really mind the taste so much, of course I can barely taste anything considering I can't breath very well. I was prescribed this drug for Scarlet fever. I am afraid I am having early symptoms of dystonic reaction. I feel ready to crawl out of my skin and very panicky. My syptoms have started to clear up after 48 hrs of taking this drug, but now I am on my way to the ER for a benadryl shot. I wouldnt reccomend this drug.

I had a very bad cough and my doctor prescribed me Ceftin. This drug is amazing and i felt better within a day. I neve felt nauseous and i never got sick once or had a bad reaction. Unfortunately i did hate the taste and had problems taking it with water, but taking it with milk is my reccomendation as it makes you feel better fter you take it.
