After two doses of this medication my daughter whom is 6 had uncontrolable diareehea, felt like she was going to throw up and doubled over with severe crapping stomach pains. It was awful, she never had this reaction to any other meds perscribed, unfortently she couldn't even make it to the restroom, and this all happeend at school! If you are trying this drug for the first time I suggest you don't do it when they have to go to school in case an accident happens, its very embarrassing to have happened at school. We won't be using this drug ever again. I've never seen my daughter in so much pain.

My son has been prescribed this multiple times for a variety of infections by the local spaced out doctors who don't listen to us. We've tried giving it to him a few times in the past two years, just to see. The first time refused to drink this (mixed in a variety of drinks - and I'm a master medicine drink mixer). The two times I managed to get it down him he started projectile vomiting. I don't know if the flavor or the antibiotic itself makes him puke. I'd think the flavor, but so far most antibiotics make my son puke. The flavor though... Jesus Christ on a pogo stick. The doctor said it had a fruity taste. I thought my son was being dramatic when he said it was gross - but then I tasted it. This medicine tastes like a dead cat's butthole covered in rotting fruit and run through a blender. I've never tasted anything so nasty in my life. I couldn't get it down, and in college I could drink cheap whiskey straight from the bottle through a straw without blinking. This stuff is awful. AWFUL. If doctors want to give you this, see if Cefprozil is similar enough for what you need that they'll describe that. Every time the doctor's office prescribes this stuff and we have to call back that's what they prescribe. So far we've had no bad side effects to that one.

This drug is very dangerous. I had a relatively minor corrective operation on a toe and was given this presumably as a prophylactic to prevent post-op infection. 1st dose, 1 hour after food, within 30 minutes starting itching all over, hives, rapid heartbeat, tried to get up and passed out momentarily. Symptoms subsided within 30 minutes. There are too many other antibiotics out there to risk this ...

just started this for an abcess. I have read some reviews and they are scary. Z-pak worked for 3 days then I switched to this. Used Clindamycin for the same tooth 5 weeks ago from the ER and that was super. Hope this works ok. Took Amoxicillin before that for a root canal and that worked for 3 days. Z-pak at that time worked well. I guess its how bad the infection is. Tooth getting pulled next wee ...

Keflex is the ONLY medication, so far that I have ever had a reaction to-- and it was severe and pretty immediate. I broke out in a SEVERE and BURNING (I mean ON FIRE) rash on my entire body-- so bad I could barely wear clothes-- especially underwear-- because the rash was especially bad in that area.

I have an infection under my thumb nail (discolored, sore) which has lasted for 3 -4 weeks. This antibiotic doesn't seem to be working.
