| Terazosin is used alone or with other drugs to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This medication works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily. Terazosin is also used in men to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia-BPH). It does not shrink the prostate, but it works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and part of the bladder. This helps to relieve symptoms of BPH such as difficulty in beginning the flow of urine, weak stream, and the need to urinate frequently or urgently (including during the middle of the night). | Add Hytrin review This medication after taking for 3-4 wks ,had servere constipation. I stopped taking until that was under control,then contiued with a less dosage.Hopefully this will help. NO ISSUES AT ALL TAKING THIS MED. NO SIDE EFFECTS. Been taking this drug for several years, but noticed that the increase in urine flow was diminished within a few weeks. However, it continues to help. Back pain, Dizzy, Feeling weak, Problem with any ejaculation, Blurred vision and a Sensation of spinning or whirling. I need my doctor to find me something else to use. I am taking this medicine for last 4 years.I am enjoying sound sleep. Before starting this medicine frequency of urinating in night was 4-5 times. Now it is reduced to 1-2 times.
