| Add Lipitor review my biceps muscle (both arms) have been dx tearing from the bone...even though the Dr doesn't agree w/me, but I believe that it is due to satin drug Lipitor and tricore combination that caused this problem When I started using Lipitor, I mentioned to my GP that my large muscles, especially my thighs, ached. My GP brushed off the complaint. By the time I stopped using Lipitor, all my major muscle groups were severly impacted. I was thinking I would be in a wheel chair in a few years. As soon as I stopped taking Lipitor, worked with a massage therapist and chiropractor, all the muscle problems went aw ... I have high Cholesterol, 260.I started taking 10mg in Dec. every other day. Will see what my readings are in August. High lipids I acquired severe muscles and cramps in my legs and ankles-I felt like I was crippled. Within days of stopping this med I was back to normal! Stay away from this medication! | Add Simvastatin review I have had no problems or side effects taking this drug. It works fine. It caused muscle spasms and cramps. My doctor put me on Simvastatin one week ago, and I feel like I am getting the same symptoms I had when I was on Prevastatin. On Prevastatin I felt weak, achy joints, very achy feet and legs...so I stopped taking it cold-turkey and I started feeling 'normal' 2-3 weeks later. But now that I'm on Simvastatin I'm beginning to feel some of the familiar achy feelings returning, and I'm pretty sure I' ... My doctor increased my dose from 40 to 80 mg (after previously increasing it from 20 to 40), and my latest cholesterol level was higher than it's ever been! | |||
