| Add Prilosec review Taking for ten years 1 pill per day also, possible Gerd. This works for me, but wonder how long can one take the medication safely. My husband took this drug beginning December 2011. In May of this year, he became ill and test showed that he now has kidney failure due to taking this drug. He no longer takes it for his heartburn. He almost died from taking this, plus had to be on dialysis or a transplant list. Thankfully, the reason for the kidney failure was found and he was taken off the drug in time. He is still having ... Prilosec OTC helped with my GERD, but after 5 days of taking it I had to stop because I got a rash and my hands, ankles and feet became swollen. It totally helped me....except when I stopped taking it after the 14 days....the heartburn came back. I kept taking it because it worked. I had an endoscopy and they said nothing was wrong with me....but I still have constant heartburn day and night for the past 7 years. I am worried about the long term use of this product, but I can't stop it because it helps. I dislike going to doctors so I will ... | Add Zantac review I originally was prescribed Zantac for overproduction of acid in my stomach. But I take it twice a day. And sometimes I get heartburn while on Zantac.But overall,it works pretty well. I have wrestless leg syndrome and taking this medication made my legs and arms go nuts. I have had insomnia for 2 months. Stopped taking and now I can sleep again. does the lack of acid in the stomach cause an excess of gas to build up. | |||
