MetoclopramideMetoclopramide ProchlorperazineProchlorperazine
Metoclopramide is used to treat certain conditions of the stomach and intestines. Metoclopramide is used as a short-term treatment (4 to 12 weeks) for persistent heartburn when the usual medicines do not work well enough. It is used mostly for heartburn that occurs after a meal or during the daytime. Treating persistent heartburn can decrease the damage done by stomach acid to the swallowing tube (esophagus) and help healing. This medication is used to treat severe nausea and vomiting from certain causes (for example, after surgery or cancer treatment). Prochlorperazine belongs to a class of drugs known as phenothiazines. This medication is not recommended for use in children younger than 2 years or in children going through surgery.

Hard to remember to take it on time...cause you never know when you eat. And I had major side effects. I was tired all the time, muscle weakness, sleepy, and jittery. My brain was running 30 miles an hour. cant think straight. Be careful if you noticed any twitches, cause I couldn't stood still.

I was given a prescription for prochlorperazine to control nausea and vomiting in conjunction with migraine headaches. The medication was effective very quickly, although I did experience some side effects, among them including dizziness, vertigo, slurred speech, and lethargy. It did treat my nausea very well, but the only time I'm able to use it is when I'm planning to be at home, since driving is impossible feeling the way it makes me feel.

My daughter had a very serious reaction to this medicine. She had seizure like fainting, he tongue would start by getting hot felling. She would then loose control of her mouth muscles, then it would go down to her neck and back. She would then pass out with her eyes rolling behind her head. It is very painful and scarry for her and anyone around her. She hasnt had the med for four days now, and she is still have these side effects. The doctors dont even know how long they will last. I would watch anybody on this med very close.
