| Add Pradaxa review Overall, a positive experience. Had a concern about a VERY LARGE unaccountable bruise appearing my abdomen upon awakening one morning. Also had a minor cut that took 2-1/2hrs to clot. My cardiologist was not concerned as his focus is on stroke prevention. My primary care physician (also a pharmacist) felt that his prescribed dosage was too high due to my age and the very large unaccountable brui ... I have been taking Pradaxa for 1 1/2 now. first I had itching, noticed my fingernails are chipping and eyelashes are shorter. always have blood in urine. also have uti infection a lot. I would like to get off this drug but dr. said stroke is worse. Have been on Pradaxa for about 1 year. Major side effect has been severe (at times)burning & itching of hemorrhoids following a BM. Doc took me off Pradaxa for 2 weeks & symptoms disappeared. Hate to think of surgery as hemorrhoids didn't bother me in the past. Looking at other blood thinners to see if condition improves. Acid reflux - heartburn Just started a week ago. All fine up to now what should I expect Michel b. | Add Warfarin review I had multiple PE's after a rough winter of coughing and pain in my lungs. I could not take deep breaths and was given steroids and antibiotics on 2 different trips to Dr. because I wasn't getting better. These of course still did not work so my Dr. thought he better check me for blood clots. Yep, I had plenty in my lungs along with some dead lung tissue due to damage. I was in the hospital a week ... I take the drug because I have been told that I have to - I have had two episodes of DVT/PEs and am now on the drug 'for life'. The only problem with the medication is that it has been difficult to keep it regulated. It is always too high or too low. I have had lumbar surgery since being on the warifin. I was off for a few weeks and now it's difficult getting back regulated again. | |||
