ACIPHEX WORDED FOR ME WHEN OTC DRUGS DID NOT. I HAVE TAKEN IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS. BUT NOW I MUST DO WITHOUT AS THE COST EVEN WITH INSURANCE IS PRICING IT OUT OF MY REACH. I WAS GETTING 3 MONTHS AT A TIME FROM A MAIL ORDER COMPANY WHEN THE PRICE WENT UP I TRIED WALMART. LAST TIME IT WAS OVER $150 FOR 90 PILLS, THIS TIME IT WAS OVER $250 SO I TOLD THEM TO KEEP IT. I WILL HAVE TO DO THE BEST I CAN WITH THE OTC UNTIL THE PATENT RUNS OUT.

I have tried the other common PPI's and OTC acid reducers which all fail to help my severe, persistent reflux. Aciphex works within minutes of use and has never failed to control my symptoms for at least 20 hours. My only problem is that my RX provider at work sometimes removes it from the "approved" list and it is too expensive for me to buy with pocket change. They are covering it in 2012 so life is great.

I took the prescription to CVS and they tried to change it to Pan ...

I have been taking this drug for six months and have had no side effects or related problems. It has stopped my reflux, dry cough and swallowing difficulties and I'm very satisfied.

I was satisfied and comfortable for a while and then developed excessive gas, belching and diarrhea, which got so bad I've quit taking it altogether.
