| Add Aciphex review ACIPHEX WORDED FOR ME WHEN OTC DRUGS DID NOT. I HAVE TAKEN IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS. BUT NOW I MUST DO WITHOUT AS THE COST EVEN WITH INSURANCE IS PRICING IT OUT OF MY REACH. I WAS GETTING 3 MONTHS AT A TIME FROM A MAIL ORDER COMPANY WHEN THE PRICE WENT UP I TRIED WALMART. LAST TIME IT WAS OVER $150 FOR 90 PILLS, THIS TIME IT WAS OVER $250 SO I TOLD THEM TO KEEP IT. I WILL HAVE TO DO THE BEST I CAN WITH THE OTC UNTIL THE PATENT RUNS OUT. I have tried the other common PPI's and OTC acid reducers which all fail to help my severe, persistent reflux. Aciphex works within minutes of use and has never failed to control my symptoms for at least 20 hours. My only problem is that my RX provider at work sometimes removes it from the "approved" list and it is too expensive for me to buy with pocket change. This works for me, but wonder how long can one take the medication safely. My husband took this drug beginning December 2011. In May of this year, he became ill and test showed that he now has kidney failure due to taking this drug. He no longer takes it for his heartburn. He almost died from taking this, plus had to be on dialysis or a transplant list. Thankfully, the reason for the kidney failure was found and he was taken off the drug in time. He is still having ... Prilosec OTC helped with my GERD, but after 5 days of taking it I had to stop because I got a rash and my hands, ankles and feet became swollen. It totally helped me....except when I stopped taking it after the 14 days....the heartburn came back. I kept taking it because it worked. I had an endoscopy and they said nothing was wrong with me....but I still have constant heartburn day and night for the past 7 years. I am worried about the long term use of this product, but I can't stop it because it helps. I dislike going to doctors so I will ... | |||
