| Add Prilosec review Taking for ten years 1 pill per day also, possible Gerd. This works for me, but wonder how long can one take the medication safely. My husband took this drug beginning December 2011. In May of this year, he became ill and test showed that he now has kidney failure due to taking this drug. He no longer takes it for his heartburn. He almost died from taking this, plus had to be on dialysis or a transplant list. Thankfully, the reason for the kidney failure was found and he was taken off the drug in time. He is still having ... Prilosec OTC helped with my GERD, but after 5 days of taking it I had to stop because I got a rash and my hands, ankles and feet became swollen. It totally helped me....except when I stopped taking it after the 14 days....the heartburn came back. I kept taking it because it worked. I had an endoscopy and they said nothing was wrong with me....but I still have constant heartburn day and night for the past 7 years. I am worried about the long term use of this product, but I can't stop it because it helps. I dislike going to doctors so I will ... | Add Ranitidine review I have been taking this medication for about 3 years and it helps me immensely. I take 150 mg twice daily, 30 minutes before meals. after several years I was having sencetive and painful nipples having bean on so manny drugs it had taken my nephrologist a long time to come to realize it was the ranadidine causing it and swiched medication all good now Have taken this for years, literally, since no insurance (come on Medicare) for the "magical purple pill"- it works very well and I start to suffer symptoms by second day of I don't get to the store for more- so it definitely relives symptoms. What amazes me is that it is the main ingredient in the expensive OTC (Prilosec, Zantac etc) and you can buy 200 tablets 150 mg at Walmart for abo ... i've been taking this drug for a week and so far i'm still having the burn in my throat. it doesn't seem to be helping. at first I thought it did, but after a few days, the burn came back. Also having heavyness in my chest. Ranitidine works, but for me there were too many negatives. I noticed I was more depressed, irritable and sleepy. | |||
